So I guess you're wondering what this is all about.....let us try and explain. This is all about a fairly new form of marketing where companies set up free gift/freebie sites. On those freebie sites other companies advertise their products or offers, anything from insurance, banking, to broadband packages, online DVD rental, breakdown cover and more.

The idea is that you join the freebie site where the ads are placed. You then complete one of the offers advertised. The freebie site then provides you with a unique link that you can use to forward on to all your friends, family, colleagues, anyone who is interested!! They do the same thing as you did, register and complete an offer, except this time, the freebie site knows that you have referred them. The freebie site then give you a chunk of the payment they get from the company advertising the offer in the form of a point or 'green'.

Once you have accumulated enough greens you can exchange them for a freebie of your choice. That's it...!!! The advertising company wins because they get a potential new customer. The freebie site wins because it makes a profit from the advertising company paying them for that potential customer. And you are a winner because you get to receive a free gift of your choosing.....everyone is a winner!!!
